TP Vision Launches New Philips TV Campaign

As the need to differentiate in the TV market grows, the Director & Head of Business Management EMEA for TP Vision, Kostas Vouzas announced a new campaign and slogan for Philips TV: Philips TV. Looks better.

Vouzas wowed journalists at this week’s Philips press conference when he unveiled his company’s latest OLED TV – the new 65-inch 9 Series. This new Philips TV combines the latest OLED technology with Philips TV P5 Perfect Picture engine and three-sided Ambilight system to create a new flagship product for the Philips TV range and what the company claims is a “new reference” for outright picture quality.

NEW P5 PROCESSOR AT HEART OF TOP-END OFFERING

Philips TV P5 Processing Engine, to be included in all flagship TVs from Philips, offers 50% performance improvement over the High-End Perfect Pixel Ultra HD system.

P5 brings both a 25% increase in processing features and a 25% increase in processing power to give an overall 50% performance gain when compared with the existing Perfect Pixel Ultra HD engine.

With the power of five processors in one. P5 enjoys the sheer processing scale necessary to easily handle the masses of data delivered by Ultra HD and 4K images. P5 analyses, deconstructs and individually addresses each of the five variables that define picture quality: source perfection, sharpness, colour, contrast and motion.

NEW QUANTUM DOT RANGE

TP Vision is also introducing Quantum Dot technology into its 8000 series products, offering new levels of performance, also thanks to the P5 processor.

PHILIPS PUTS HUE LIGHTING AT HEART OF ENTERTAINMENT ECOSYSTEM

Chris Worp, Business Group Leader Home with Philips Lighting announced new developments for Philips Hue, with a new capability of Hue lighting to synchronise with any entertainment platform in what the company terms “Philips Hue Entertainment”. The Philips devices are also now fully compatible with Apple’s HomeKit ecosystem.
