Please tell us a little more about your organisation…
Qualcomm Technologies is accelerating the creation of the IoT to make everyday devices are safer, smarter, deliver dynamic experiences, and work seamlessly together. Thanks to the Company’s scale and expertise in connectivity, compute and security technologies required to build a powerful Internet of Things, our customers are able to commercialise their IoT products faster and more cost-effectively and incorporate advanced security features. The company reached a new milestone this year – we have fueled IoT growth by delivering more than one million chips a day, and we have also delivered billions of chips in the mobile ecosystem.
Can you please give us an outline of what people can expect to learn about in your presentation at the IFA+ Summit?
Attendees will expect to learn how 5G will be more than a new generation of mobile – it’s a unifying fabric that will connect billions of devices in some of the fastest, most reliable and most efficient ways possible and fundamental for the future of IoT. While IoT has deeply taken root in our world already, with 5G we will realise the promise of a massively expanded IoT beyond what’s possible with today’s technologies.
How does the future look? How and when will consumers’ lives be changed or enhanced thanks to new technologies?
We envision the IoT as an enormous ecosystem where connected places and things work in concert; a world where devices are safer, smarter, more convenient, and work seamlessly together, regardless of platform, standard or manufacturer, to improve our lives.
