German personal health manufacturer Beurer has announced it will launch products integrated with Amazon’s Alexa service from November.
Speaking at IFA 2017, Beurer’s Managing Director, Georg Walkenbach, said his company was working at “full speed” on developing issue-specific functions that will allow the user to conveniently retrieve their saved values, such as blood pressure, daily activity, sleep duration or weight, using voice control.
Walkenbach said: “Alexa, how many hours have I slept today?” or “Alexa, is my blood pressure healthy?” are just a couple of questions that Alexa will be able to answer in a matter of seconds in the future.
Beurer also unveiled its new brand identity at IFA. The five categories – active, babycare, beauty, medical and wellbeing – each have their own range logo and range colour.
Walkenbach said: “The new colour world also supports this and adds another focus to the product classification with fresh, modern colours, as well as memorability for the consumer”.
