Information and analytics market leader, IHS Markit, announced the winners of the IHS Markit Innovation Awards. Voted from among the many innovative CE products on show at the Showstoppers event at IFA, the awards showcased upcoming technology companies that could be driving CE trends of the future.
The winner in the Robotics and Drones category was Astrobot Kit from Ubtech Robotics, the first Jimu robot kit to offer three form categories: humanoid, anthropomorphic wheeled vehicle, and treaded mobile robot with grab and lift action. Ubtech was also runner-up in the category with customised service robot Cruzr.
The winner in the AR, VR and Gaming category was Nuheara Ltd IQbuds, whose intelligent wireless earbuds allow users to dictate what they hear around them, and to connect with their digital devices.
The winner of the Fitness, Wearables and Health Devices category was the ReSound LiNX 3D, the third generation of the first hearing aid made for the iPhone. The product offers clear speech understanding and 360º sound location.
The Mobile Accessories winner was ZAGG International’s Rugged Messenger Keyboard for the new 9.7” iPad; and the Personal Entertainment winner was the Libratone ZIPP, a 360º wireless speaker promising a full-room sound experience in any space.
