Face-to-face meetings: you just can’t beat them for doing better business. They’re the hallmark of trade shows.
Building on its success last year, the IFA Business Days 2018 will again be carried out in co-operation with the Enterprise Europe Network for International Economic Development (EEN) along with 22 co-organisers from 14 countries. Their target group includes companies, start-ups and R&D institutions from the CE sector, with a focus on IoT, AI, robotics, voice recognition, smart living, VR & AR, smart city, future mobility, and digital health. These national partners raise the call for potential business partners who want to meet at IFA. Then EEN aggregates all into their matchmaking service for IFA show-goers to fulfil their mission to do business with new partners. While much of this takes place before IFA opens, their Matchmaking App helps to match meetings during the show.
The matchmaking meetings take place from 31 August – 3 September 2018 in IFA Next in Hall 26a and from 3 – 5 September 2018 in IFA Global Markets at STATION-Berlin. The matchmaking sessions on Sunday, September 2, also offer IFA + Summit participants the opportunity to network with each other, with other trade visitors or with IFA exhibitors. Besides a b2b-matchmaking, the IFA Business Days – “Networking & New Contacts” event will feature business sessions on topics such as smart living and European funding. During the business sessions, international clusters and networks as well as innovative companies and start-ups will have the possibility to pitch their current project ideas.
On Friday and Monday IFA Business Tours will also take place. The tour will stop at different selected exhibitors who will present their products and research results linked to the focus topics of IFA Next – tour themes include ‘Smart Living’ ‘VR/AR/AI’ and ‘IoT and Robotics’ and the tours represent further opportunities for face-to- face networking.
The IFA Business Days are free of charge for all trade visitors with an IFA trade visitor ticket.
